READ ASA, located in Asker, Norway, is a provider of new and innovative technologies to the upstream oil and gas industry. Our core business combines longstanding expertise in seismic acquisition, data processing, design, engineering, research and development of advanced seismic equipment.
Currently our development team has an opening for a Software Developer/Programmer with a strong background in C++ and Labview development for sensor based data acquisition systems.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Develop C++ and Labview based software for Seismic and other Data Acquisition systems.
- Design and development software for use with hi-speed acquisition of sensor based monitoring instrumentation.
- Developing Beta-test specifications and verification of the operation of the software and acquisition equipment.
- Starting from concept and following through to final product
- Explore the potential of new designs and developments.
Qualifications
- Higher technical education, BS or MS (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related.
- Available to travel internationally.
- Good English language skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Project management training or experience.
- Good communication, project management and organizational skills are desirable.
Experience
- 5-10 years minimum in a related field.
- Experience with Hi-Speed USB interface.
- Direct experience with LabView. C, C++, microprocessor or other language.
- Previous experience with Streamer, Subsea or Downhole acquisition systems.
- Previoious with programming of microprocessor based circuitry desirable.
- Previous experience in the Seismic or Geophysical industry.
